What is Chess? Chess is game played between two players.It is played by two colours i.e white and black.The word 'Chess' came from the ancient game of India called Chaturanga. This game was played by the Early kings and Scholars. From India, this game travelled to Persia (now Iran). From Persia, this game travelled to Europe. There, people called this game as Chess. The Europeans made some rules to this game that;- this game should be played between two people only. Each player has 16 pieces.From Europe, this game spread to all over the World. How is it played? In chess,the two players who are playing together have 16 pieces in start of game.
